Following the speech by the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron, on March 31, 2021, here are the containment rules decided to fight against Covid-19, and their impact on the practice of motorhomes.
The rules in force in the 19 departments are extended to the whole of metropolitan France from Saturday April 3, 2021. Closure of non-essential shops, limitation of travel to 10 km (without certificate), ban on inter-regional travel (except certificate) . The curfew at 7 p.m. is of course maintained throughout France.
The certificate is only required for:
- trips of more than 10 km
- going out during curfew
During the Easter weekend, it is still possible to move to go and isolate yourself in another region.
The President of the Republic also called for avoiding family reunions. Emmanuel Macron has finally announced closure measures for schools, until May 3.

What impact on the motorhome
If you wanted to take advantage of the Easter holidays to offer your children or grandchildren a trip in a motorhome, it is compromised. It is of course the limitation of travel to a radius of 10 km around the home that constitutes the most determining constraint. It should be remembered, however, that until now, travel in a motorhome and overnight stays in a motorhome are not prohibited. As long as you choose your stages wisely, respect barrier gestures and do not violate the anti-covid measures in force.
