Marking the brand’s return to the rafters in the large family sedan segment, the new Citroën C5 should inherit the hybrid technology on board the Peugeot 508.
Arrested four years ago, the Citroën C5 is back in the spotlight. Expected on April 12, the new generation of the sedan is announced through a first video published on social networks.
On the aesthetic level, the first images logically suggest a style very close to the latest models of the brand. We thus find a grille similar to that of the Citroën ë-C4, marked by a light signature in “V”, also included in the rear.

A hybrid machine of 225 horsepower?
At this stage, the manufacturer does not specify the catalog of engines for its new model. However, we know that PSA, now Stellantis, wishes to offer a solution connected to each of its new outputs.
The manufacturer is not yet ready for electric on a vehicle of the size of the C5, it is to the rechargeable hybrid that he should turn. The mechanics will probably be identical to that already offered on board the current C5 Aircross which embeds a 225 horsepower system associated with a 13.2 kWh battery allowing 50 km of electric autonomy.
See you on April 12 to discover the new sedan in detail.
