Unable to acquire new knowledge in science and technology at school during spring break, children will be able to turn to “ScientifiQ”, a program expected on MAtv as of March 4.
For six episodes, Yannick Bergeron, secondary school science teacher, chemist and creator for the magazine “Les Débrouillards”, will share various content and offer experiences that can be reproduced at home, for young people as well as their parents or teachers.
Plants, plants, planets, natural disasters and magnetism are among the topics that will be discussed during these 30-minute meetings where scientists will also demystify their profession.
“Offering all families a series of educational programs like ‘ScientifiQ’ during this period of confinement will undoubtedly help support learning in science and technology for students in the 2nd and 3rd cycle of elementary school,” said Martin Vallières, Managing Director of Éditions CEC, behind the design of the show.
The first episode of “ScientifiQ” will be broadcast on Thursday March 4 at 6 pm and Saturday March 6 at 1 pm. For the full schedule: matv.ca.
