Kia Motors France has just announced a profitability of 1,37 % for its network in 2020. This average profitability is the result of consolidated results and confirms the trend observed at the end of last October. The last confinement of the year 2020 will have cost 0,3 % of average profitability to the network, since the rate measured at the end of October reached 1,4 %. However, the brand underlines the good performance of the network in the difficult context of 2020. Kia emphasizes that this profitability is explained by a increased turnover in the fields of VN, of VO, spare parts andatelier.

Recent and electrified range

For Kia, the models renewed and launched in 2020 have made it possible to support the activity of distributors. Thus, the Picanto, Rio and Stonic were reviewed in the second half of the year, while the XCeed Hybride Rechargeable and Ceed SW Hybride Rechargeable took advantage of their electrification during their commercial launch. The firm also insists on e-Niro 100% electric, which has progressed strongly, taking the fifth place of the market electric vehicles in 2020, with 5,101 registrations. In total, the brand has sold 39,052 vehicles over the year, either 13,3 % less than 2019. The objective set for 2021 amounts to 47,500 units, for a market share of 2,5 %, on a French market estimated at 1.9 million vehicles. To achieve this, the firm should be able to rely on its new EV6 electric car, which reservations have just opened online.
