Belgian Carla De Geyseleer leaves the finance department of Volvo Cars - Companies

Belgian Carla De Geyseleer is stepping down for personal reasons as CFO at Swedish car manufacturer Volvo Cars. The company has appointed Björn Annwall as the new CFO, who will take office on April 19.

Mr. Annwall joined Volvo management in 2015. He was responsible for the European, Middle East and Africa markets where the manufacturer’s market share has increased significantly thanks to plug-in hybrid and electric models.

Volvo thanked in a press release Carla De Geyseleer, who arrived in the fall of 2019 and which helped to keep the company’s finances during a “tumultuous” year 2020. It contributed “to the strong recovery and a record performance in the second half” of the past year.
